Twilight Walk 2010

Here's to hoping these aren't all sideways...
so. The Twilight Walk was AMAZING. So many people, coming together for a common purpose, all to help kids. It was inspiring and heartwarming. They played a song, "Blessed are the Hands that Give," and it was just such an uplifting feeling to be a part of such a great cause. There was a balloon release, and I released 3 balloons...one for Kyrie, to whom to foundation is for, one for Carson, since he was initially thought to have a brain tumor (so scary), and one for my little patient who earned her wings last month after battling a pontine glioma for 8 months. I cried watching those balloons soar away. For all of rhose little souls freed, and for those yet to leave. Ten kids a day diagnosed. That's ten too many. So hug your babies, kiss their heads and sweet, sweet mouths, tuck them in at night. Read that extra story. And when they break stuff, or throw tantrums at Wal-Mart, or cuss at Grandma's, remember those balloons. And kiss them again.
